Ann Marie Wagner, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 13, 2022, at Arbor Terrace, Tinton Falls, NJ. Ann was born in Manhattan, NY. As a young woman she joined the Convent, but, left soon after due to a change of heart, although she remained a devout Catholic all her life. Soon after leaving the Convent, she met and married the love of her life, Edward Wagner, and raised a beautiful family. Their family first resided in Old Bridge, NJ and then moved to Marlboro NJ where they lived happily for 27 years and created lifelong friends. Ann and Edward retired first in Toms River, NJ (Greenbriar Community), followed by a move to Jackson, NJ (Westlake Golf and Country Club Community) where they lived for 20 years. Ann was a fulltime homemaker and served as PTA President at St. Thomas the Apostle School in the 1970s. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Moore’s Trucking Company and then Carter-Wallace in the 1980s. She also was a Volunteer at St. Peter’s Medical Center in the 1980s and early 1990s. She loved to spend time with family and friends and enjoyed hobbies which included needle point, puzzles and reading the daily newspapers. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward K. Wagner, parents Michael and Sonja Philbin and brothers Arthur and Sonny Philbin. She leaves behind daughter Denise Cecere and husband Bobby of Tinton Falls, NJ, sons Steve Wagner and wife Valerie of Fair Haven, NJ, Ken Wagner and wife Jamie of Red Bank, NJ, and daughter Jeanne Wagner of North Brunswick, NJ. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Hillary Cecere, Desiree Michalski and husband Jordan, Michael Anthony (Mac) Cecere, Michael Wagner, Mara Wagner, Thomas Wagner and fiancé Cassidy, Daniel Wagner, Julia Wagner, and Abigail Wagner and step-grandchildren Emily and Alec Walsack. She will be greatly missed, but forever in our hearts. A service will be planned for a later date due to current Covid-19 prevalence and restrictions. In Lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Breast Cancer Association is welcomed.
