Cpl. Susan E. Wallace (Tinton Falls Police Department), 55, of Neptune, passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Born in Neptune, she lived in New Providence, attended Mt. St. John Academy in Peapack- Gladstone, and graduated from Asbury Park High School and the University of Phoenix. When she was very young, she was the owner-operator of various auto shops. She was a CNC machinist at Frequency Engineering Lab in Farmingdale, N.J. For the last 24 years, she was a patrolman with the Tinton Falls Police Department and recently was promoted to Corporal. Susan was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Norma Wallace of County Cork, Ireland, and her twin sisters, Marjorie and Celeste and her brother Richard. Susan is survived by her brother Leo and his wife, Karen Wallace, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also her faithful felines; Lil Bits, Whisper and Calloway. Susan had more friends than anyone in the world. She made friends easily and kept them. She was the first woman in the Tinton Falls Police Department. She loved her job and “her guys”. She will be missed greatly.
