James L. Orr (Mr. OSU) Age 85, Tinton Falls Buckeye Nation lost of one of its biggest fans Friday with the death of James L. Orr, an educator who was dedicated to his family, friends and THE Ohio State University. Born in Atlantic City in 1927, Orr slipped the bonds of the Garden State in 1944 for Columbus, Ohio, where he enrolled in OSU and began a life-long devotion to Buckeye football. Returning to New Jersey, he met and married his soul mate Lorraine Eisenmann. He began his career as a teacher in Marlboro before joining the faculty of Neptune Township schools. He would retire almost 40 years later as assistant superintendent. In retirement, he and Lori travel extensively across Europe, Asia and South America and split their time between the Jersey Shore and Boynton Beach, Fla. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Tony Schaible: his son and daughter-in-law Scott and April Orr and four grandchildren Nick and Mary Kate Schaible and Olivia and Justine Orr.
