JoanMary Sobieski Jackowski of Tinton Falls, New Jersey passed away on Monday, November 29th 2021 at Bayside Manor Assisted Living in Keansburg, NJ with her family by her bedside. She was born on July 7, 1935, to John Sobieski and Alice Tenczski Sobieski, in Blissville, NY. She was actually born in the living room of the house she grew up in. She has a younger brother Thomas Sobieski. She was a strong, sassy Polish woman who enjoyed cooking, especially making Kielbasa. JoanMary proudly worked for J&S Supply Company in Blissville, NY for over 15 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. JoanMary was a devoted wife to her lifetime love William Anthony Jackowski. She was predeceased by her son Christopher, who passed on March 20, 2020. JoanMary is survived by her devoted husband Bill, and celebrated 65 years of marriage this past June 9th, 2021. JoanMary was a loving mother to daughter Christine Contini, husband John, and daughter-in-law Sara Jackowski. She was an amazing, caring, and loving grandmother to her 5 grandchildren Kyle, Brianna, Lexis, Travis and John Michael III. Prior to moving to Tinton Falls, NJ in 2017, she lived in Long Island City, NY for 50+ years. She went on many cruises with her husband and enjoyed life as she wanted to. Taking trips to Oakdale, NY and Aberdeen, NJ to see her grandchildren were one of her favorite things to do. JoanMary loved her NY Mets and would go to battle if you spoke negatively about them. She loved watching reruns of Andy Griffith, Raymond, CSI, and Murder She Wrote. She was a devoted Catholic and said her prayers up to her dying day.
