John (Jonathan) Charles Hancock, 63, of Tinton Falls, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at home. John was born in Bryan, Texas and is the son of Charles Kinney Hancock and Lena Dean Barrett of College Station, Texas, both deceased. He lived in Hillsborough (10 yrs) and Morristown (16 yrs) before becoming a resident of Tinton Falls earlier this year. John received his BA in applied piano from the University of Texas and was recently retired. His former occupations and accomplishments include; company pianist for choreographer Robert Joffrey; dance studio owner/operator with Marjorie Mussman; composer of modern dance scores; and rehearsal pianist for studios and universities including the Julliard School, Barnard College and the Joffrey Summer Workshops. Non-musical work includes: IT specialist with Johnson & Johnson; professional carpenter/woodworker; and licensed Realtor. Surviving is his loving husband Kenneth Horn; his children, Austen Hagerup Hancock, Matthew Cole Horn and Helena Margaret Horn; his daughter-in-law Kelly Semegran Hancock; and his grandchildren, Austen Kenneth Hancock and Katelyn Elizabeth Hancock.
