Mary J. Boeglen

October 26, 1924 - June 2, 2010

Mary J. Boeglen, 85, of Tinton Falls, passed away on Wednesday June 2, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born and raised in Erie, Pa. and has been a resident of Tinton Falls since 1967. She was a graduate of Academy High School and the St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1944. She was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Nursing Corps during the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Lieutenant. Mary worked for the Paterson Army Hospital, at Fort Monmouth,NJ for 28 years retiring in 1985 She was a former member of the Tinton Falls First Aid Squad and a member of the Tinton Falls EMS North and the First Aid Auxillary. She was a member of the Red Hat’s Society of Eatontown, The Tinton Falls Women’s Club and the Shrewsbury Garden Club. Mary also volunteered for the Red Cross and Widows Support group at Fort Monmouth. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Lawrence T. Boeglen Jr. in 1988. Surviving are three daughters; Beth Estomin, Laurie Adams, Heidi Houschild and her husband Bill, a son; Kenneth L. Boeglen and his wife Tina, four grandchildren; Michelle Buhler, Jennifer Taylor and her husband Marc Taylor, Amanda Estomin and Elizabeth Boeglen, six great grandchildren, a sister; Alma Clark. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
