Sabino (Sal the Barber) Gadaleta

February 13, 1928 - February 20, 2021

Sabino “Sal the Barber” Gadaleta peacefully took his last breath on Saturday, February 20, 2021. He turned 93 (reversed to his Forever 39) on February 13th. He is survived by his love of 20 years, Joan Heldreth; his sons, Vito D. and Lenny J.; his daughters, Susan F. Beaver (David) and Sallie A. Dwyer (Chris); grandchildren, Holly Wikfors, Jamie Gadaleta-Allan, Brian Gadaleta, Chris Wikfors, Matt Deloynes, Colin Dwyer and Lyndsey Beaver; 5 great grandsons, Jackson, Jase, Cole, Caiden, Kyler and a 6th due on March 1st; 3 sisters, Theresa Sasso, Isabelle Farinola and Nicoleta Brateris, Joan’s daughter, Hope Wissell (Rob) and her daughter, Belinda; many beloved nieces and nephews and a lifetime of friends. Sal worked as a Barber in Neptune and Spring Lake, NJ until the age of 92. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Kiwanis Club and American Legion Post 346. Besides his love for family and friends, he loved to toss the dice in Atlantic City and enjoyed traveling with Joan to many places including, Italy, Hawaii and Alaska. A private family service will be held at Bongarzone Funeral Home, Tinton Falls, NJ. In lieu of flowers, Sal has requested memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/GiftFunds/GiftFunds?px=6933695&pg=personal&fr_id=39300 Sal was a devoted brother, father, pop-pop and friend and will be sadly missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
