Helen M. Falcone

Helen Marie (Davis) Falcone 94 passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Born in Newark, NJ. She lived in Newark and Orange NJ growing up. Helen was the first daughter of Clarence and Alice Davis. She was married to Domenic R Falcone for 67 years and they raised their family and lived in Livingston NJ until 2014 when they moved to Sea Brook Village in Tinton Falls NJ. Helen is survived by her four children: Richard D Falcone (Marie Northup-Falcone), Mary Anne Magliaro (Michael), Anthony J Falcone (Kathleen Piontek Falcone) and Kathleen M Newman (Thomas – deceased). She was adored by her six grandchildren and their spouses: Brian Newman (Genevieve), Kellie Newman, Christina Tumulty (Michael), Anthony Falcone (Tiffany Roe a bride to be), Gene Magliaro, and Landa (George) Papashvili. During 2023 she welcomed and celebrated the birth of her first Great Grandchild Grant Michael Tumulty. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Vreeland. In addition to her loving husband Domenic, she was predeceased by her brother Donald D Davis and her son-in-law Thomas Newman. Helen attended Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair NJ and Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Bloomfield College. She worked for Prudential in Florham Park NJ for many years. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St Philomena Church. She was also a volunteer with St Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Helen was involved in many activities including Past President of the St. Philomena’s Rosary Altar Society. Helen loved family and she loved celebrations. Her last big celebration was attending the St Patricks Day parade this past March in Belmar NJ at age 94 where her Irish pride was evident as she dressed out in her green. She was also a great storyteller. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 27 from 4-8pm at Bongarzone Funeral Home, 2400 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:30am at St. Philomena Church in Livingston. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. No visitation on Wednesday, the family asks that you go directly to the church.
