Nancy R. Reid

Nancy R. Reid, 84, of Tinton Falls, passed away at home on June 10, 2026, with the company of her husband and daughter. Born in Rahway, New Jersey, Nancy was the daughter of the late Thomas Martin Roberts and Edith Bedman Roberts. She devoted much of her life to music, serving as an organist and choir and handbell director at numerous churches. Nancy was also the founder and proud member of the Seabrook Ringers Hand Chime Choir and played piano with the Impossible Dream Piano/Organ Duet Ensemble. Nancy found great joy in knitting, reading, socializing and spending time with her husband and family. She was known for her vibrant spirit, always active and deeply engaged in her community. She is survived by her beloved husband, Rev. George C. Reid, Jr.; her loving children, Jane K. Kolyer and James T. Kolyer; her dear brother, Thomas M. Roberts and his wife Audrey; and her cherished grandchildren, Dakota, Samantha, Jimmy Kolyer, Bruce Deiter, Katelyn, Benjamin, Lillian, and Levi Kolyer. Also remembered fondly are her nephew, Martin T. Roberts, and her cousins Lois McKay, Gail Hodges, Timothy Bedman, Camie, Pamela Gould Neece, and Michael and Pamela Pepper. Nancy’s warmth, dedication, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls, NJ at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent in Nancy’s memory to a cause close to her heart.
